WeRobotics Child Protection Policy

Our Flying Labs like the one in the Pacific are starting to engage youth more directly in trainings and projects. In working more directly with local youth, our Flying Labs have the opportunity to equip said youth with some of the marketable skills they need to pursue a career in the use of robotics for social good. In order to inform this work and do no harm, we've developed a Child Protection Policy (CPP) in close collaboration with one of our outstanding donors, the Australian Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Thanks to DFAT, we've been able to work directly with a seasoned expert on child protection to develop our own policy based on established standards and best practices. Our CPP will go into affect on May 1st and will be publicly available on our website. We will then spend the following months implementing this policy across our organization. In the meantime, we want to express our sincerest thanks to DFAT and the expert we've been working with on our CPP for their invaluable support and partnership. We're excited for our Flying Labs to work more directly with youths around the world, and our CPP will enable all of us to do so in an ethical, safe and responsible manner.
