South Pacific Flying Labs' Amrita Lal Named as 'Woman to Watch' in UAS

There's no question that we believe Flying Labs team members are rockstars. Working with students, practitioners, and leaders in their communities, Flying Labs use their time and talents to help eradicate disease-carrying mosquitoes, collect aerial surveys of damage following natural disasters, and run workshops that train others to use robotics for social good. They don't offer their services for accolades or prizes, so when they're recognized for their work, we're delighted to celebrate and share their achievements with you.

South Pacific Flying Labs's Amrita Lal was honored this year by Women and Drones as a 'Women to Watch' in their Humanitarian Category. The award acknowledges exceptional women for their work driving change across a variety of categories. Amrita was selected for her work with "drones to prepare quick and effective reporting methods for remote communities, in coordination with the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation," in addition to her previous contributions to the Fiji Red Cross in the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Keni.
