Peter Liu

Peter Liu is a former Managing Director of Deloitte Consulting, a serial entrepreneur and a passionate advocate for social impact.  At Deloitte he was the Government and Public Sector Investment Leader and stood up multiple new market offerings including drone services.   Prior to Deloitte he was a member and leader of a number of successful technology startups, including Yurie Systems a company purchased for over $1 billion, giving him first hand experience in the fast paced world of emerging technology.

Today, his work stands at the intersection of emerging technology and social impact with a conviction that technology and business entrepreneurship are powerful forces that can be harnessed to do more good in the world.  His passion for the topic includes collaborations with the World Economic Forum on the Global Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship where he is a member of the Corporate Leadership Council with a number of publications on that topic and also on the use of drone delivery systems in Africa for medical and humanitarian applications.  At Deloitte, he was a leader of the Deloitte D2i pro bono consulting program for over a decade with over 350 consultants annually providing consulting services to dozens of nonprofits around the world and social enterprises around the world.

Peter is a graduate of the University of Maryland and serves on the WVU MIS advisory board where he shares his experiences to the next generation of talented students.
